These modalities were some of the first that were recorded in history. Ayurvedic is the oldest and dates back at to least 5,000 years ago. One of most highly recommended modalities other than Ayurvedic is the Thai massage, which is great for applying traction on the joints and stretching the muscles. Chi Nei Tsang

Chi Nei Tsang means “working the energy of the internal organs” in Mandarin. This is a holistic technique of touch healing that originated from ancient Taoist monks. It focuses mainly on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual features of an individual. It goes to the cause of the health disorder as well as psychosomatic responses. Chi Nei Tsang applies the fundamentals of Kung-Fu and Tai Chi Chuan to bring harmony in one's soul. The Feldenkrais Method is an educational system that teaches the awareness of one's body through movement. Feldenkrais Method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and was named after him. He’s a judo and physicist expert who attests that self-awareness improves the overall functioning of mind and body. He emphasizes that the mind should be associated with body function for a much healthier lifestyle.

Although fairly new (only been around since the 80s), this very effective massage modalities are able to remedy acute and chronic pain by treating the trigger points in the muscles. When the trigger point and fascia become tight and there is loss of range of motion that generally occurs over time, the nervous system quickly begins to experience pain that can only be relieved by treating the trigger points that are causing these issues.     Hawaiian massage” or “Loving Hands”; uses the fingers, knuckles, palms, forearms, elbow, knees, feet, and even rods and stones make long, continuous, flowing strokes to work the muscles gently yet deeply. It is excellent for relaxation and increasing positive energy and harmony.

    Lymphatic massage






    This is a full body massages that helps to clear and drain the lymph system. Essential for detoxification, Lymphatic drainage can boost the immune system and help prevent and heal many ailments.

    Medical Massage






    Applies treatment to specific problem areas using a variety of massage modalities chosen by the therapist after evaluating the client. Medical Massage helps improve one’s gait and posture as well as treating headaches, inflammation, lack of range of motion, stress and tension, nerve pain, lower back and neck pain, etc.

    Muscle Energy Technique (MET)






    This technique uses gentle muscle contractions to relax and lengthen muscles and stabilize joint motion. Considered an active technique, the client uses his/her muscles from a controlled position in specific directions against the therapists’ counterforce. MET is used to treat lack of range of motion, muscular hyper-tonicity, and pain.

    Myofascial Release






    This is one of the most effective soft tissue therapy used to treat skeletal muscle stiffness and pain. It aims to relax contracted muscles, improve circulation, and encourage the stretch reflex in muscles.

    Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)






    One of the most effective modalities for pain relief, NMT aims to balance the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems to correct any disorders caused by an imbalance between the two. NMT enhances the function of joints and muscles and speeds healing by facilitating the release of endorphins.

    Oncology massage






    This is a modification of existing massage modalities in order to safely work with the complications of cancer and its treatment. Therapists have an understanding of the disease and its side effects and are able to modify the massage to better suit the client's needs.
